Eric Zarko

Since relocating to DFW in 2020, Eric Zarko, affectionately known as “Zarko” has often been regarded as the unofficial mascot of the DFW nonprofit community, Zarko is the visionary behind the DFW Nonprofit Resource Group, a group founded years ago that is designed to make unique impacts within the sector. Zarko was blessed in 1991 when he met his future wife, with whom he now shares two wonderful adult sons. A proud Pittsburgh native, Zarko is a passionate supporter of his hometown’s black and gold sports teams. His love for baseball knows no bounds—if you ever find yourself in a conversation with him about the sport, be prepared for an engaging and enthusiastic discussion that could last for hours!

Kim Schlossberg

Terry Traveland

Terry Traveland is a corporate attorney at Traveland Law, PLLC, a law firm focusing on helping entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses. She works with many non-profits to help them navigate the legal aspects of running a non-profit as well as obtaining Federal and state tax-free status. With more than 30 years’ experience, she provides practical, common-sense advice to her clients. Terry works with several non-profits benefiting veterans, including Paws to Serve Heroes and Operation Texas Strong. She is an amateur wildlife photographer and travels the world to see and photograph animals in their natural habitats.

Michelle Berndt

Michelle Berndt is the VP of Sales for OneShare Health, a nonprofit Health Care Sharing Ministry located in Irving. She has been with the company since its inception 6 years ago and truly believes in their mission of providing affordable healthcare for everyone. Michelle is former Mrs. Texas International 2013, a breast cancer survivor and is also the Board Chair for the Fort Worth American Cancer Society. She lives in Midlothian with her husband, two kids, four dogs, two cats and twenty chickens.

Scott Morikawa

Scott enjoys supporting the few that serve the many and has learned over the years that working alongside those with similar passions made the service even more fun and impactful for all involved. His natural ability to troubleshoot problems has been pivotal in his success in helping others throughout his varied careers in the food service, military and government, entrepreneurial, technology, church and nonprofit spaces. Scott is blessed to have his beautiful wife and 3 amazing kids constantly enriching his life.

Sam Mattox

Sam Mattox, a Brown University alumnus and former military officer, has demonstrated exceptional resilience and leadership throughout his career. After a decade of military service marked by multiple combat tours and serious injuries, Sam transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding several successful companies. His latest venture, YSCO, focuses on empowering small to midsize companies and non-profits to achieve their potential.
Now based in Arlington with his wife Angela and their college-attending daughter, Sam is actively engaged in community work. He serves on the board of Ms. V’s Fur Babies, DFW Non-Profit Resource Group, and East Side Inc. His journey from military service to successful entrepreneurship and community involvement highlights his dedication to making a positive impact.

Stephanie Moore

Stephanie Moore is the President of Copy That Business Solutions, a mission friendly copier company that gives a portion of their proceeds to local veteran/first responder nonprofits. Stephanie is passionate about serving veterans and the community we live in. She has partnered with MVPN to create a program to serve Vets in need of quick support. She serves on the board for CCC of Ft. Worth as the Director of Non-Profit Management. She is also very active in her children’s School PTA. She lives in Lantana with her husband, three daughters and two dogs. Her weekends are full of basketball, football, cheer and softball.

Dena Walts
